It is our great pleasure and privilege to invite you to attend the International Symposium on Process Chemistry (ISPC 2026), taking place from July 1–3, 2026 in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, under the auspices of the Japanese Society for Process Chemistry (JSPC).

Since its founding in 2000, JSPC has hosted annual summer and winter symposia, bringing together professionals and researchers from pharmaceutical and chemical industries, manufacturers of pharmaceutical intermediates, academic institutions, and beyond. Each summer, more than 700 participants gather to exchange insights and advance the field of process chemistry. In addition, building on the success of previous four international symposia (ISPC) held in 2008, 2011, 2015, and 2019—with total attendance surpassing 3,000—we are proud to host the 5th ISPC in Hamamatsu in 2026.

This international symposium serves as a dynamic platform for leading researchers from both industry and academia to share cutting-edge developments, foster innovation, and strengthen global collaboration in process chemistry.

We warmly welcome all chemists with an interest in process chemistry to join us at ISPC 2026, where you’ll have the opportunity to present your work, engage in meaningful discussions, and explore a wide range of topics shaping the future of the field.

Hamamatsu, nestled between Tokyo and Osaka in western Shizuoka Prefecture, is a lively coastal city renowned as both the “City of Music” and the “City of Instruments.” It is home to globally recognized manufacturers of musical instruments, automobiles, and motorcycles, and offers a rich cultural experience. Visitors can enjoy the serene beauty of Lake Hamana, savor local delicacies such as Hamamatsu-style gyoza and grilled eel, and explore historical and cultural landmarks including Hamamatsu Castle and the Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments.
